CenterFrame, in partnership with Tysers Live and Simons Muirhead Burton (SMB), is excited to announce our latest initiative—a dazzling quarterly showcase for emerging filmmaking talent. Industry professionals from across Britain's Film/TV sector are invited to a London screening room to watch up to three standout short films, followed by an intimate networking lunch where the selected filmmakers can mingle, enjoy refreshments, and potentially make their next big break with top industry figures.

It's easy, and its FREE. 

1. Register on CenterFrame and complete your profile.

2. Add your film to our FILMS section. 

    That's it! The CenterFrame team reviews every film that gets posted and makes its selection. 

    There are no deadlines. If your film is selected, you will get a month's notice before the screening.

    Your film will remain eligible for the Industry Showcase as long as it remains posted on CenterFrame.

    Yes you can as a PRO member. Up to five PRO members are able to attend the networking session after the screening. Tickets are allocated first-come-first-served.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    What is the submission process?

    To submit your short, follow these three steps: 

    1. Register with a free membership on Centerframe.club. 

    2. Complete your profile.

    3. Go to the FILMS page and select ADD FILM.

    Once your film has been successfully added, it is automatically in consideration and will stay in consideration as long as it remains on the CF platform.

    Is there a submission fee?

    No, submission is completely FREE.


    What’s the submission criteria?

    Your film MUST be a short film between 2 and 25 minutes long, including credits. No feature films or Pilot episodes. It can be of any genre, but not a TV commercial or music video.


    What’s the submission deadline for the quarterly showcase?

    There is no deadline for submissions. Once a film is posted on the CF platform, it will always be in consideration, for EVERY showcase, as long as it remains there and has not participated yet (Films which haven’t been selected for the closest showcase, could still be selected for the following one.)


    Can I submit more than one film for consideration?

    Yes, you can post as many as you like. But we would only ever screen ONE of them. 


    Does it have to be a recently completed film?

    We will consider all short films completed within the last 5 years.


    Does my film have to have been shown at film festivals?

    No. However, if your film is still set to premiere at festivals, we recommend submitting the film after your festival premiere.


    Can it be a student film?

    Yes. Exceptional student films will be considered.

    Can it be a scene from a feature or pilot?

    No. It must be a self-contained short story. It cannot be episodic.


    Can it be a proof-of-concept?

    As long as it is a self-contained short story, proof-of-concepts will be considered.


    When will the selected films be publicly announced?

    The three selected films will be announced on the day of the showcase, at the screening.


    Who will select the short films for the showcase?

    The CenterFrame team will make the selection.


    When will I be notified if my film is selected for the showcase?

    Selected filmmakers will be notified via email ONE MONTH before the screening. Please ensure your contact details are correct when submitting your film. You are NOT allowed to publicise your selection until after the screening.


    What happens if my film is selected for the Showcase?

    If your film is selected, we will notify you ONE MONTH before the relevant screening. You will need to:

    • Reply to us within 7 days. If we do not hear from you, we will select another film.

    • Provide a completed DCP or a Master Video file (Prores422 or higher)

    • Tell us who of your team can attend the screening (Three people max).


    What if I cannot attend on the screening date my short was selected for?

    If you cannot attend, we will work with you so you get best opportunity to network with the industry professionals.


    Who will be attending the showcase?

    Attendees include producers, directors, agents, and other key figures from Britain's Film/TV sector who are looking for new talent and projects.


    How many team members can come to the screening and networking lunch?

    Three members of the team can attend, including yourself. Most commonly this will be the Director, Writer and Producer, but can also be the lead actor or any crew member. 


    Can I still come to the screening if my film isn’t selected?

    We will extend invitations to FIVE CenterFrame PRO members, who can RSVP for the event on a first-come-first-served basis.
